Pce-n53 Drivers For Mac

Posted By admin On 26.02.20

I'm a little bit new to Linux Ubuntu and I'm not an advanced user of Linux in general. I want help to install the drivers for my wireless card.I just bought the ASUS PCE-N53 N600 wireless card for my desktop PC.

The card uses Ralink RT5592 Dual-Band chip. I put it inside my PC but my Linux Ubuntu 12.04 didn't recognise it automatically. So I download the Linux drivers from ASUS from here, file: LinuxPCEN531008.zip.I unzip the zip file and untar the tar.bz2 file inside it and i read the Quick Start.txt (click to download it).

The file says:1Install compile tool $yum install gcc-c -I did it.2check kernel source code exists /usr/src/kernels/ 'kernel name' Download your kernel source code.-I did it. There wasn't a 'kernels' directory inside /usr/src/ so i create it.Also I download the 3.13.1 stable kernel from and I untar it inside /usr/src/kernels/linux-3.13.1/ directory. The difficult part starts from here and onwards. The file Quick Start.txt says the below 'Build Instructions':2 In Makefile set the 'MODE = STA' in Makefile and chose the TARGET to Linux by set 'TARGET = LINUX' define the linux kernel source include file path LINUXSRC modify to meet your need.- I can't find MODE variable inside Makefile and set it to STA. Neither the TARGET var.

How can i change it?3 In os/linux/config.mk define the GCC and LD of the target machine define the compiler flags CFLAGS modify to meet your need.-How to do that?. Build for being controlled by NetworkManager or wpasupplicant wext functions Please set 'HASWPASUPPLICANT=y' and 'HASNATIVEWPASUPPLICANTSUPPORT=y'. = $wpasupplicant -Dwext -ira0 -c wpasupplicant.conf -d. Build for being controlled by WpaSupplicant with Ralink Driver Please set 'HASWPASUPPLICANT=y' and 'HASNATIVEWPASUPPLICANTSUPPORT=n'.

= $wpasupplicant -Dralink -ira0 -c wpasupplicant.conf -d-What of the two choises should i select? Please, is there a more easier way to install the drivers? If yes, tell me that way. But if not, please help me with the above questions (and also, please, to the steps 4 to 7 inside Quick Start.txt).Thank you.Attached FilesQuick Start.txt (1.9 KB). Post your comments/solution.

They give you stickers! I used driver booster 2 to update my drivers a day ago and it had also updated my wireless card driver.

When went on my computer this morning, the internet began to behave very weirdly. It showed that I had internet access but I could not access any pages (Google, Facebook etc) nor could I ping my router. All other devices worked fine. I tried system restore but windows said it had failed to restore. I tried all my restore points and they all failed.

I tried using the 'search internet for drivers' thing and even manually downloaded the driver from Asus but it keeps telling me that I already have the latest driver. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the drivers from the disk it came in. After installing, a message popped up that said that my WLAN card has been taken out of my computer. I tried to uninstall and reinstall again but the same message popped up. I don't know what else to do. I've had a problem before where if my desktop is turned on, the internet will crash for all our devices. This hasn't happened yet but I'm scared that it will.

Thank you for reading my wall of text. Note: I use Windows 7 Home prem 64-bit.

Hey, I have the same card. I can confirm that the drivers for this thing are a nightmare. I cannot guarantee that we'll be able to get the card functioning properly with your version of Windows, but I'll give it my best. Windows doesn't seem to be able to select the proper driver for this card, so we'll have to select a driver manually. I'll need a screenshot of what drivers you have available for your card so I can tell you which one to select. I am using the Windows 10 technical preview, so my drivers will be different than yours, otherwise I would just tell you which one I'm using. Instructions below:.

Find your proper driver, or click (direct download link). Install that.

If it says that the driver is already installed, or if the installer asks you if you want to remove the driver, you can simply exit the installer. Next you will open device manager. To do that right click on 'my computer' and select 'properties'. Device manager can be found as a link near the top left corner of the window.

In device manager you'll see a list of categories. Open the category named 'Network adapters'. Your wireless card should be one of the listed devices. Right click on it and select 'Update Driver Software.'

. A new window will pop up asking you how you want to update your driver, select 'Browse my computer for driver software', then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. When you click on that it will show you a list of different drivers. Before we continue, I would like to see a screenshot of that window so I can decide which driver to select.

Below are the instructions for taking a screenshot of an active window:. Press Alt+PrtScn.

Open Paint by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Paint. In Paint, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Paste. Click the Paint button Picture of the Paint button, and then click Save. Once you have done that, you can upload the screenshot to imgur and post the link.

It's concerning that your restore points aren't working. Something may be wrong with your installation of Windows. If you're not opposed to backing up and reinstalling Windows, it may be a good idea. Assuming that you're not going to reinstall Windows, I have some questions: What router are you using? Have you rebooted it recently?

(to reboot a router simply unplug it and plug it back in. Or turn it off and back on if it has a power switch) Has anybody been customizing the settings on the router? If not, reverting your router to default settings may help. Are you using the 5GHZ band or the 2.4GHZ band? Have you restarted the computer since installing the update? (It's amazing what a restart can solve) Have you reseated the card, or tried it in a different PCIe slot? Are your antennae securely connected?

Are any other devices having issues with the wireless? I'm getting an SSD over the holidays so I might as well bear with it till then. The network in our house is quite strange.

There are 2 houses on our property, and we share the same phone line since we're family. We have the modem in the other house and a TP-Link extender in our house. My desktop could never get internet access when connected the modem, (an exclamation mark on the signal bars) but was fine when connected to the extender.

Restarting everything was the first thing I did. We had some friends look over the settings when we had problems about a week ago and I think they changed something, but we haven't had any issues with it. I'll try restarting the extender settings. How can I find out which band I am using? My antennae are securely connected but I don't have the Asus utility installed.

I am currently trying the card in another slot and will get back to you when I can. Edit: The drivers were being installed but it failed. I will try to install them manually now. Edit 2: Nothing is solved. The problem is still here.
